Smoky Quartz is a variety of quartz, a member of the silicate mineral class, and crystallizes in the hexagonal system. Formed through the natural irradiation of clear quartz, its color can range from light gray to nearly opaque brown. With a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, Smoky Quartz is durable and resilient.
